I sent out a Sushi Alert to my daughter Dani last Friday . . . today's Tuesday.we were gonna meet for sushi on Saturday but her budding film-making career absconded with her schedule - - - Lucky for me my brother-in-law Steve Hamburger (that's right) - - - {His last name is Hamburger - when he proposed marriage to my sister -- Congrats btw 9 years on the 11th - (true Veterans) - - - my nephew Matt okayed the Union as long as there was no name-changing involved}

Anyway back to Sushi - Steve and I ducked out for some Sushi in West Orange , New Jersey, at Nikko's. The service is always great and there was a pretty Japanese girl taking care of us who was new to this country and had a tough time understanding English never mind my New York accent chopping up Japanese words.

Burgerman is always interesting to eat sushi with or discuss politics, baseball, football, tell jokes or just bond. He's got lots of experience in all those areas.

The next day I flew out to Detrit and tried to hook up with Dani at Monster Sushi - - - but she couldn't make it coz she was doing a shoot at a Gun Club on 5th and 29th. She and a friend are doing a piece on the Gun Culture in NYC. Interesting concept.

So I went to Live Bait for some Cajun food before getting on an airplane and heading out to Detroit.
